Hello, It's not possible for us to tell what you're doing wrong without further information.

1) What's the model number number off of the back of the TV?

2) What model RCA remote are you trying to program?

3) Do you have the manual for the remote?

4) Do the buttons on the TV itself operate the set as normal?

Please reply back with details and we can proceed.

Hi and welcome to JustAnswer,

Thank you for the question and your patience. Should you still need assistance for information purposes only...

Initially, if the Emerson codes are not working then consider that the EWC20D4 is a re-branded Funai product. Try then using Funai codes.

If still would not work, then it would be a compatibility issues.

Consider then an original Emerson remote. Please click HERE and HERE.
