I just got a Samsung 2834 Class 271234 Diag LED 720p Smart

Customer Question

Hi, I just got a Samsung 2834 Class 271234 Diag LED 720p Smart HDTV Black. I put the green cable that's connected to my cable set top box into "video" and the audio in but it's not working. Do I need to purchase an HDMI cable?

Hello, I’m Nathan, and I’ll be assisting you today. My livelihood depends on your positive feedback, so your satisfaction is my highest priority.

Sorry to hear you’re having trouble

Green alone wouldn't do any good, yellow cable (to the green port) and set to the Composite/AV input mode may work, but won't be a good quality picture.

You should really use hdmi, if at all possible, that will give the best picture and sound: http://amzn.to/1mMJrr8

Just plug in from box to tv (say on the hdmi1 port on back of tv), press the SOURCE button on samsung remote, then choose the HDMI1 input mode.

If you have any other questions, just let me know. Otherwise, please do remember to rate my service prior to logging off, hopefully I have earned an “excellent”. I also invite you to contact me directly with any future support needs at http://bit.ly/1QwLxGh

Thank you, ***** ***** a good day,
