Customer Question

I just bought a 60" Vizio M series TV. Great so far. I would like to find out what I need to do to make it Bluetooth compatible with my Bose wireless speakers and headphones. I am hard of hearing and find the Bose speakers and headphones work well for me.

I bought a Connect It Portable Bluetooth Transmitter, but is not the solution
Expert:  Jack replied 1 year ago.

About that bose system and headphones , are they all wireless ?

Do they have a transmitter device or amplifier ?

Come to think of it , could you please give me all the model numbers of the equipment in question ?

Bose Soundtouch model #416776
Expert:  Jack replied 1 year ago.

Bose soundtouch 20 , 30 , series 3 etc . ?

Where do you normally plug those headphones and are they wireless as well ?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Don't have the headphones yet, but do have the aforementioned speaker
Expert:  Jack replied 1 year ago.

O.k then there is a good chance you could connect the soundtouch directly to the tv or cable box or satellite etc. which brings another question , what is connected to the tv is it a cable box , dvd , games etc. ?

Expert:  Jack replied 1 year ago.

but something came up and I will have to step out .

You don`t have to do anything , your question will be reposted for other techs. to see and jump in.

Sorry to hear you’re having trouble.

Initially, that transmitter should work fine, as long as it will pair with your speaker/headphone.

The issue is that it cannot connect to the tv directly, as the tv has no suitable audio output. It could potentially connect to the cable box directly, but that would only give you cable, not dvd, apps, etc.

What you need to do is buy one more item, a converter box, to use the digital audio out port on the back of the tv, and the transmitter will plug into that: http://amzn.to/1IYAnUo
