Does your sound come from the TV's speakers or an external sound system?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
TV's Speakers
Expert:  Steve G. replied 1 year ago.

Ok, and what is plugged into the TV? A cable box maybe? Anything else?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
At&t wireless connection.
Expert:  Steve G. replied 1 year ago.

So that is a cable box?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
It may be. We just had the TV connected via Modem two weeks ago. The sound comes and goes up and down on it's own.
Expert:  Steve G. replied 1 year ago.

Ok, do you have cable TV? If you do, you would have a cable box that you point the remote at.

Is that the case?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
no, we are connected via internet using a modem. I have three tv's and they all have volume control problems.
Expert:  Steve G. replied 1 year ago.

So you don't have cable, you just have Netflix, Amazon, Hulu etc.?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
the regular programs.
Expert:  Steve G. replied 1 year ago.

So when you are watching Netflix, the sound goes up and down on it's own?

Does it do this on all streaming services?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
It does it on everything. All programs. The TVs are only about a year old. They have been fine until we moved to another house. Now the sound goes up and down and we have to try to keep up with it with the remotes.
Expert:  Steve G. replied 1 year ago.

Grab the Vizio remote and press Menu.

Select Audio

Turn Surround Sound OFF

Turn Volume Levelling ON.

Any change?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
The Leveling was on. I turned it off and then turned it on again.
Expert:  Steve G. replied 1 year ago.

Ok, maybe we should try it with Levelling OFF.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
The sound is not stable.
Expert:  Steve G. replied 1 year ago.

Ok. I am going to opt out of this question which will allow other experts to chime in. I am out of ideas I am sorry. I won this TV and do not have this issue.

Hold on.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
It seems to have leveled out. I will continue to monitor. Thank you.

Hello, my name is ***** ***** I'll assist you. I need additional info to troubleshoot the issue.

- Do you get volume display on screen while sound level goes high/ low on its own?

- Can you please try another video device such as DVD/bluray player to this TV as sound test?

Thanks.
