We have a Sony TV KDL 55 HX 729 and a Blue Ray model BDPS590. We are unable to access our Netflix programing and have been told we need a Firmware update.
We need help t do that update.

Hello, my name is***** be happy to assist you.
- Have you tried to unplug BDP-S590 power cord from wall outlet for 5 minutes to reset, replug back in, turn it On and check if Netflix streaming works?
If problem still persist then need to restore BDPS590 to default settings, please follow the procedure..
1- Using the supplied remote, press the Home button.
2- Go to Setup.
3- Under Setup, select Resetting.
4- Under Resetting, select Reset to Factory Default Settings.
5- Select All Settings.
6- If the player goes off after the factory reset, just turn it back on and the Easy Setup will be displayed on the screen. But if the player does not turn off just go back to the Setup Menu then go to Easy Setup. Just follow the on-screen prompts to finish the Initial Setup of the player.
7- Check if you can access Netflix.

Above answer is based on assumption that you get Netflix streaming service through BDP-S590 player connected to TV.
Please reply back if you use Netflix app in TV.
