I own a philips hospitality 52hfl5581v/27

Customer Question

Hello, My name is tom.
I own a philips hospitality 52hfl5581v/27 lcd tv. Today i was doing an
update when the electric power went out. Now the tv will not respond
to the remote or side pannel buttons. I tried a reset by unpluging the
tv for an hour and pluging it back in the ac outlet. This had no effect.
The tv seems to be stuck in this mode. However i can bring up the
USB update screen by holding the OK button on the remote and
pluging the set into an ac outlet. I have tried to enter the service
mode via the remote without success, using the codes given in the
owners manual. Seems this is a software issue What do i need to do next?

Hello my name is Anthony
Thanks for the Question

Tom what color is the powerlight?is the powerlight lit at all or blinking?

Customer: replied 2 years ago.

Hi Anthony.

The power light is white. The tv is locked in the protected mode.

According to the service manual i have to short the service pads

on the SSB momentarily to clear the eeprom. Is there a workaround

to clear the eeprom?

Best Regards
