We have a 5 year old Vizio flat screen TV

We have a 5 year old Vizio flat screen TV. Yesterday we returned from a trip, turned on the TV and it seemed fine. After a few minyutes the sound went off and we cannot get it back on. Talked to Comcast for trouble shooting and they found nothing wrong. Will send a tech out on Thursday if set still not experiencing sound. Can you help?
Problem with TV or Comcast? If the TV, comcast probably cannot fix.

Hi, Have you tried unplugging both the TV as well as the cable box from wall power for 30 seconds and then plugging them back in?
The reason I ask is this is usually an issue with the Comcast box, and it's much more rare for the TV to be the root cause.
Please try that, and if there's still no sound, please connect a DVD player to the set, and see if there is still no sound.
