Hi, thank you for contacting JustAnswer.com. My name is Russell. I will do my best to provide the right answer to your question.Does the TV show any sign of life whatsoever? such as flashing power light, other flashing light, indicator light On, or LED on one of the boards being On or flashing when power is applied and you look into the TV's inner workings? If not, then you need to check primarily on three things: 1. whether there is evidence of burning, or a burnt smell worse than the usual scent of heated electronics, inside the TV.2. whether the outlet the TV is plugged into, is genuinely OK. Test it with another device, also switch the outlet used by the TV to another, preferably an outlet on an entirely different circuit. This can make a lot of difference.3. whether you need to replace the power supply for the TV, after the above is taken care of and checked on. If the TV remains 'dead', without indicator lights or light flash codes etc., then the power supply inside the TV is what is most likely to need replacing.
