When did the problem occur?
Additionally, what is connected to the TV for devices (DVD, cable box, etc.), and do you have the same issue regardless of which Device you're watching?
If you press MENU on the TV when the problem is occurring, does the MENU display normally on the full screen?

I'm afraid that this TV has an intermittent fault in it's power supply board Jacqueline, it's actually common in these sets, and is caused by several capacitors drifting out of spec and causing the power supply to lose it's output to the LCD screen. Unfortunately there isn't a quick fix for this problem, and the set will require component replacement in order for the problem to stop. Average cost for this type of repair is around $150 parts and labor on this set to fix the issue. I'm sorry for the bad news, and realize this isn't the answer you'd hoped for.
