In 2009 I purchased a pangoo TV 66cm. widescreen LCD TV LT26S18, that has worked well.

After watching 7 videos over the past week, I am now finding that after inserting a disc I get the display of CLOSE, READING and then instead of switching to PLAY automatically, I get EJECT. And the same display replays.

I have checked the instruction book as well as buttons on the remote control in case I had accidentally cancelled the PLAY function, but have not been able to resolve the problem.

Can you suggest a possible solution? Your advice will be appreciated.

Hello my name is Anthony
Thanks for the Question

I may be a few minutes between each request for info thanks for your patience!

Can you hear the disc spin once its inside the machine please?

Does it do this with ALL discs?

How often do you use the player please?

Customer: replied 3 years ago.

Yes, a spinning noise has developed since when I insert a disc.
I have retried the discs that I have recently viewed and the same spinning
noise and recycled CLOSE, READING AND EJECT displays.
I have only recently started using the DVD consistently. Prior, I had used
a DVD intermittently over longer periods.

OK the disc is spinning up but the laser is not reading the table of contents now this can be caused by a dirty lens on the laser so please try this <<click

Also it may just be that the laser is losing its power and will need replacement however its not viable to replace the lasers in this type of unit because of cost.

Please let me know if you need more info
