Hi! My name isXXXXX am happy to help you with this! Please bear with me and be patient as sometimes these issues take a little bit of figuring out before we know what's wrong. If you could give me some more information it will be very helpful:

-What was wrong with the tv before you replaced the fuse?
-How old is the unit?

Please give me this information and I will be happy to assist you further.
Thank you,
Tim Nolan

Was watching show picture went blank. Power light went out and would not come back on. Approx. 7-8 years

Did you test the fuse and it was bad?

Which fuse? (ac?)
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

yes tested and fuse was open/bad

Which fuse was it? the ac fuse?

Customer: replied 3 years ago.

Was there a surge or storm when the fuse blew?

Customer: replied 3 years ago.

no also have surge protecter connected

OK do you have a meter handy?

Customer: replied 3 years ago.

OK, do you see the two large plugs going out of the power supply, one goes the to ss board on the left and one to the sc board on the right? (these two connectors are in the top left of the board)

There should be two wires to each connector. I need you to set your meter to ohms and measure between the two wires. what do you get?

Customer: replied 3 years ago.

0 readings

0 ohms? The same reading you would get if you touch your meter leads together?

Customer: replied 3 years ago.

Yes 0 ohms

OK unplug both wires and check the pins on the board. What does it read?

Customer: replied 3 years ago.

Same, 0. I have two meters, both read 0

OK if those are reading 0 ohms on the board then you have a bad power supply and you need to replace it.

TXN/P1BJTU is the part number you need, I would recommend ebay myself, thats the cheapest I have found it yet.
