- Have you tried to check sound by connecting and playing DVD player in TV?

sound is fine on DVD

Excellent, TV looks fine and problem seems in cable box that is not sending sound signal to TV for some reason.
Please unplug cable box power cord from wall outlet for 10 minutes to reset, replug and check sound output in TV.
Please post back how it worked.
