My Vizio TV will turn on but stays at the Vizio screen. After it is turned on you cannot turn it off unless you unplug it. No buttons work the remote does nothing??? what do I do??

Just a couple questions so I can get a better idea about what's going on here.

1. What's the model number?
2. How old is it?
3. Still under warranty?

Ok, let's start with a simple reset. Disconnect the TV's power cord, then press and hold the TV's own power button for at least 30 seconds... then release. Now reconnect the power cord, and try to turn the TV on.

Ok, thanks. You've confirmed... you have a defective TV. Either a bad power supply board or a bad main board... probably the main. We can tear into this and repair it ourselves, or do the smart thing and return the TV to the seller, OR contact Vizio directly for warranty support.
