I bought an APPLE TV to use with my Sony Wega, but realized

Resolved Question:

I bought an APPLE TV to use with my Sony Wega, but realized that the TV didn't have an HDMI connection, so I bought an HDMI-DVI cable to connect my Apple TV to the Sony Wega, but then there was no sound, the Future Shop clerk recommended buying an optical cable to plug in to my JVC Amplifier RX 7042 S, which I did, but I still get the image but no sound.
Please help

Hi. I'm Steve. I'm sorry to hear about your Apple TV. I will try my best to give you a precise and accurate answer.

Can you give me detailed info about how the ATV is connected to the JVC. Cable type, which input etc.

Have you mapped the optical input to the DVD input?

What do you mean buy mapping the optical input to the dvd input
Expert:  Steve G. replied 6 years ago.

It appears that the coax digital input is already mapped to the DVD input.

Reset the ATV by pressing the Menu and Down buttons on the remote for 10 seconds.

Let me know if that fixes it.
