protected program by tv-14 keeps popping on and cant watch

protected program by tv-14 keeps popping on and can't watch some channels, how do i stop this from happening?

Hello, welcome to Just Answer. Can you give us the complete model number of the TV, this is on the back of the TV and contain letters and number.

This happen because setting were made into the V-Chip section of the menu. There is no special reset code on that TV, the procedure is to close the TV and remove the AC cord for 10 sec. At that point the V-Chip code should be reset to the default "0000".

Go into the V-Chip menu, enter the 0000 code and then set all the rating in TV and MPAA to "view" if some are rated to "block".

well, i did it, now have to wait and see if it worked, or should i say works, part way thru programs it did it
