Hi!

This cannot really be done, certainly not easily.

May I ask what you need this for? Are you driving another display and you want it to do exactly what this TV is doing? There may be a better way to do what you need to do.

Ray, it may be possible, but you may be trying to do something the very hard way.

I would like to record a news station on my dvd recorder while the tv is on

the same channel,

the dvd recorder does not have a tunner, but I don't mind leaving the tv

on and the desired news channel -on as well.

Thanks.

OK, I see.

So it's not like you're trying to tap off any HD programming.

The problem is that even if you find a low def signal you can tap off of, it will not be designed to deliver 1 volt peak to peak of video signal across a 75 ohm load, which is what you need to feed your DVD recorder.

So, in my opinion, what you are trying to do canot be done.

Sorry, let me know if you have any other questions, and thankls for using JustAnswer!
