I cannot adjust my Vizio TV screen to get the whole picture.

I solved this myself, using the internet. I will withdraw this question.

I basically moved the cable input to the TV from "Component" to "TV" and this worked.

It is 3 year old.

 

I only have this problem while watching cable i.e. it is not there while I watch DVD's.

do you have a cable box or does the cable come straight out of the wall into the tv?

I solved this myslef: switched input from cablebox to the TV from "component" to "TV".
