I have a RCA TV Guide Plus Gold Gemstar w Home Theatre Premiere

This answer was rated:

I have a RCA TV Guide Plus Gold Gemstar w Home Theatre Premiere Model # XXXXX Lost sound! Mute is not on. I unplugged for couple of days, plugged back into the outlet, still no sound. Any suggestions, as to what could be the problem? And is it worth taking to a repair shop?

Dear JA Customer,

Yes, it is worth repairing if the picture quality is still acceptable.

Before you take it in, look at the rear of the set for a "Speaker on/off Switch" and be sure it is in the on positon.

Thanks for using JA

Dear JA,
Just to let you know, my RCA has an internal/external speaker switch and when I put the setting back to internal the sound works fine. It is evident that while cleaning my TV, I moved the switch.
Thanks so much for your help!
