Resolved Question:

My Samsung flat screen got wet. The screen is white (as if it were underdeveloped because I can still see pictures but it is washed out), can it be remidied? Not just a little water, the upstairs flooded and water poured on it. Though it was off when it happened it was plugged in.Also the (faint) screen is cropped down to about 2/3 the normal size

The LCD panel has been damaged from the water, you should contact your insurance company and have them replace it, and any other equipment that was damaged from the water. Of course you have to pay the deductible.

The cost of replacing the LCD panel is very close to the cost of a whole new TV set.
