Setting up a new Wii console with Vizio HDTV that is connected

Customer Question

Setting up a new Wii console with Vizio HDTV that is connected to cablevision via a HArmon Karden AV340 (whose surround sound system only is partially set up, but is functional.) How do we, via cable remote, select the proper output setting for the TV in order to see video (right now we see nothing although console is connected and on)?

HelloCustomer welcome to Just Answer.

Did you connect the Wii into the Vizio (if so, what model number is XXXXX TV) or in the AVR-340?

If it's on the AVR-340, you need to press the "source" button on the front of the AVR or use the input buttons on the AVR remote (those are the 2 line of button under the On and Off button).

As for doing this with the cable remote, it's very rare a cable remote will support sound receiver very well, especially as this one have many dedicated buttons for that on it's own remote.
