I have a 50" Samsung...

I have a 50" Samsung DLP that is driving me crazy! It works great for awhile then if we reset or unplug our Direct TV HD DVR receiver the screen goes black and sound out for about 5-10 seconds whenever we use either the Direct TV or TV remote, it is EXTREMLY annoying especially when you are trying to fast forward in recorded show. I don't know if this The DLP or DVR reciever. The wierd part is it will work fine for a while and then come back.

What is the model of the TV?

Why are you resetting your satellite receiver box? Is there some other issue?
(Or is your 'then' misplaced?: 'It works great for awhile then if we reset or unplug our Direct TV HD DVR receiver the screen goes black')

DLP Model # XXXXX

No other issues, for e-setting. The screen goes black and goes quite ane the "No Signal" pops up, which leads me to believe the satelite is not sending a signal.

Yeah, I'd be pretty suspicious of the satellite box if the TV is displaying the 'No Signal' message. That means the TV, past a certain point, is functioning normally.

Try using your set with your DVD player, game system, or any other source. If the same issue occurs with sources other than the satellite box, then the issue likely lies with the TV. If no issues occur with anything except the satellite box, you have a bad satellite box.

I'm guessing you're using an HDMI cable to connect the satellite box to the TV? Try using a composite (yellow/white/red) or component (red/green/blue/white/red) cable to see if the issue persists. I've seen sat boxes have issues with HDMI.

If you need to reset/replug your satellite box frequently to resolve any issue, the the sat box has a problem. Your satellite receiver should rarely if ever need reset or unplugged.

If it does seem to be a fault with the TV, let me know your results to the above exploratory steps and we can pursue troubleshooting the TV.
