Customer Question
10spd Roadranger transmission. What would cause...
10spd Roadranger transmission.
What would cause the input shaft to gauld to the input shaft cover. Gaulded the reverse slinger to the cover plate. Input bearing feels fine although I plan to change it due to heat from gaulding .
I just want to be sure I rectify the root issue that caused it.

Can you supply me with the trans model number? I want to give you some specific specs to check. Is there any frosting on the main drive gear? On the input shaft cover did it pop when the bolts were taken out like it was under a pre-load? Was the main shaft play checked before the input shaft was removed? This is usually not typical unless you have a broken shaft or the main shaft is under a bind.
