Does it make any effort to move in drive when reved up?

Does it move forward in the low gears, if so what happens once moving forward then shifted to drive?

Transmission Mechanic: Chris (aka- Moose), Technician replied 6 months ago

Possible causes for no drive in the 4T65 transmission are:

  • Loose or damaged forward band servo oil pipe.
  • Loose2-1 manual band servo cover or accumulator cover bolts.
  • Damaged 2-1 manual band servo cover gasket.
  • Damaged accumulator cover spacer plate.
  • Forward band servo piston oil seal ring damaged.
  • Servo piston is damaged or is stuck in servo cover.
  • Servo piston cushion spring or retainer is missing or damaged.
  • Servo piston pin is not engaged to forward band.
  • Forward band is worn or burned.
  • Forward band is disengaged from anchor pin.
  • No. 3 check ball is busted.
  • Input clutch assembly components are damaged.
  • 1-2 roller clutch assembly is damaged.
  • Input carrier assembly or reaction carrier assembly components are damaged.

An overhaul is needed to address this concern.

What u mean by ball bust
Transmission Mechanic: Chris (aka- Moose), Technician replied 6 months ago

There are check balls inside the valve body that block off ports and prevent flow. Over time they can fail and break apart no longer being able to seal.
