Does it feel like an engine misfire with this issue here?

No just hesitation

Has the check engine light come on with this issue at all or have fault codes been checked?

Ask Your Own Transmissions Question
Customer reply replied 7 months ago
All codes have been checked

Usually with a fault with a hesitation and jerk feel under acceleration or under load on an incline is related to an issue with either a lack of fuel due to a restricted fuel filter or weak fuel pump or an issue with an engine misfire.Spark will break down and cause this feel under load like this if there is a weak spark component like a spark plug wire/boot with high resistance or corrosion in it.Broken or corroded spark plugs or even an ignition coil are the most common for this issue here.Lack of fuel pressure or volume under load will also cause this feel here. These are all the common causes for this issue.

If you have not had spark tested/checked and spark components like a coil or wire and spark plugs checked this needs done.If these are o.k. or were checked I would have the fuel pressure tested with a fuel pressure test gauge. The vehicle will need driven with a fuel pressure test gauge attached while driving it needs to be monitored to see if the pressure drops off when under load when the issue occurs. This will help determine if this is a fuel issue.

These are the most common causes for this issue and need to be checked into to locate which is the cause then repaired from there.

If more help is needed, use the reply tab to continue our conversation. If no further assistance is needed, kindly rate my service, your 5 star rating is appreciated ( should be a link to click on here or above). You can rate at any time and we can continue to work on your question as this will not close out your question.Keep in mind in some cases it can be difficult to fully diagnose or help repair your vehicle without seeing it and I work on delivering the best possible answer from what I see to work with.

Thanks Pete
