Hello and welcome to JustAnswer

This code is setting because of a vacuum leak or an incorrect MAP sensor reading causing the PCM to think there is a vacuum leak when there is not.

Did this problem start before the PCV valve was replaced?
Can you explain exactly how the PCV valve was installed?

No pcv valve changed in attempt to fix issue . Have sprayed carb cleaner over intake and vacuum lines in attempt to locate issue . Have swapped map sensor with no success. Planing on doing intake gasket. But I would think with a vacuum leak sufficient to put vehicle in limp mode it would be noticeable. We have watched map sensor voltage 02 sensors etc on Autel maxipro diagnostic tool. I have read many blogs with same issue but haven't found many who solved it

It is pressed straight down but this problem was prior to pcv valve being replaced . The hose covers it on valve cover an large end down

But was it pushed in until it locked into place in the retaining ridge?

Have you tried plugging the brake booster vacuum line fitting?

Ask Your Own Transmissions Question
Customer reply replied 8 months ago
No but we do have good brake assist
Transmission Mechanic: sprinkles08, ASE Certified Technician replied 8 months ago

The port would need to be blocked to see if the code goes to stored and limp in stops to rule out the brake booster.

You either do have an actual vacuum leak or the MAP sensor is inaccurate causing the PCM to think there is a vacuum leak when there is not.

Do the leads from map sensor go directly to pcm
Transmission Mechanic: sprinkles08, ASE Certified Technician replied 8 months ago

The MAP sensor is an input to the PCM.

Ok so level 5 v or less fed to pcm directly from map sensor . What signal level i.e. Voltage reading would pcm have to see from map sensor to think it had vacuum leak
Transmission Mechanic: sprinkles08, ASE Certified Technician replied 8 months ago

That depends on throttle angle, RPM and other environmental factors and is determined by PCM software.

Ask Your Own Transmissions Question
Customer reply replied 8 months ago
At idle it will do it in less than mins
700 rpm 0 percent throttle pedal
11 degrees throttle angle 21 feet above sea level 85 degrees out side 90 percent humidity engine temp 201 degrees
Transmission Mechanic: sprinkles08, ASE Certified Technician replied 8 months ago

At that time you can check the MAP vacuum reading on the scan tool against an actual vacuum gauge.
