IF it has been running regular fluid I would not change over to synthetic at that high of mileage. The smaller molecules can cause seal leaks and higher detergent levels can cause damage to the friction disc fibers. I would also suggest NOT flushing this transmission as that too could cause issues with the friction discs.

Wow well I'm fkd......my wife brought back full synth and I had no choice but to use it
Transmission Mechanic: K. Wiggins, ASE Certified Technician replied 1 year ago

Since it's in my suggestion would be to use a bottle of this to renew the seals and prevent leakage. If you did not have a lot of fiber build up in the bottom of the pan the clutches will probably be ok.

I sure hope so. It was acting up anyway. Hard shifting, prolonged shifting. It's been put through hell and it's all been ran off one battery.
Transmission Mechanic: K. Wiggins, ASE Certified Technician replied 1 year ago

The lube guard is a really good product. It will fix valve body issues and promote smoother shifting as well. I've been using it since 2000 and I'm not one who usually supports "fix in a can" type products, but 17 years of use says it's the real deal.

How much damage would it do it if i drove it half a day then change it back to dex VI and then Friday change it again
Transmission Mechanic: K. Wiggins, ASE Certified Technician replied 1 year ago

You should be fine driving it that little.

No it's got a pulling backwards thing going on. It's in sync every rotation. It's not as bad as I thought but not good
Transmission Mechanic: K. Wiggins, ASE Certified Technician replied 1 year ago

So it's shuddering when in drive?

Ask Your Own Transmissions Question
Customer reply replied 1 year ago
along with the wrong tranny fluid, I changed the trans filter and not paying one bit of damn attention laid the tranny fluid in the motor. I didn't drive it, went straight and got new oil and filter and changed immediately. Am going to change oil and filter today again to make sure it's gone
Customer reply replied 1 year ago
Luckily it wasn't synthetic
Customer reply replied 1 year ago
Idling real rough
Transmission Mechanic: K. Wiggins, ASE Certified Technician replied 1 year ago

going back to the regular atf and using the lubeguard should help with the shutter.

As for the tough idle check for vacuum leaks, fuel pressure and finally plugs/wires. A misfire condition can also cause the trans to shift rough/late or shudder
