Transmission is shifting harsh in and out of overdrive.

Customer Question

Transmission is shifting harsh in and out of overdrive. Engine code showed MPA sensor bad, changed out code came back. Place in Tow mode and all seems to work good.
JA: Which particular sensor are you asking about? And have any trouble codes been triggered?
Customer: Just trying to find out what would cause the harsh transmission shifts. I think it could be a vacuum problem maybe?
JA: What is the model/year of your Dodge?
Customer: 2007 ram 1500 4.7 engine overdrive auto transmission
JA: Are you fixing your Ram 1500 yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: Have a mechanic that replace the manifold pressure sensor for me, but didn't solve the problem. Engine code show it bad/
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: no
