Abs and slip lights are on and will not engage in 4x4
JA: Is it just the ABS light? Or is the brake system warning light on, too?
Customer: No just abs ,slip and 4x4 flashes
JA: What is the model/year of your Nissan?
Customer: 2006 pathfinder
JA: Are you fixing your Pathfinder yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: I have tried nothing yet just started yesterday in severe snow storm

Hi ..

As long as the ABS light is ON then you will not have the use of traction control and 4X4..

You Need to check for ABS malfunction codes ,the code that the ABS management system has found

will disable the trac and 4X4.

Most common issue for this would be in most cases one of the ABS wheel speed sensors ,these sensors are needed for the use of the 4X4 and traction system .

So when you have the malfunction code and you know what the issue is (wheel speed sensor) then after the

replacement /repair the systems will be back to normal .

You could take a drive down to your local parts store like autozone and see if they will do a free diagnostic scan for you ..
