Customer Question

I have a 1995 Ford F150. I put the truck in neutral , turned off the ignition, and took my foot off the clutch. When I pulled my foot off the clutch, the truck jerked as if I popped the clutch. Now, it will only go into 5th and reverse. What could have caused the problem, and what are we talking about in repairs?

hey how are you

1- when you take off from a stop ,does the clutch pedal go up high to engage or at the bottom ? is the clutch slipping?

2- the throw out bearing would cause that too

3- if you need a clutch kit, which includes , clutch disc ,pressure plate & throw out bearings : parts $300 labor $250 300 to pull trans out & replace clucth

4- would you say this happened suddenly or gradualy doing that
