My 300 S shifter started blinking, and a message came up to

Customer Question

my 300 S shifter started blinking, and a message came up to have my transmission checked.
JA: Does the vehicle have a fuse that enables or disables the shifter?
Customer: I'm not sure, I would have to check. Never thought about it.
JA: What year is your 300?
Customer: 2013, 300 S
JA: Are you fixing your 300 yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: Took it to the dealer. When the mechanic restarted, everything was fine. Could not get the issue to repeat. I may be out 117$
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: Thinking... 5th time to the dealer for shifter issues. Replaced shifter, connectors, module below shifter, and module in transmission pan. Still having issues.

Hello and welcome to JustAnswer!

If you saw a service transmission warning and the shifter was flashing then the trans controller saw an issue with the shifter or the park release solenoid was not in the desired state, either way a fault code had set and turned on the warnings. The first step in diagnosing the problem is to determine what fault codes were set and testing can be done from there. Do you know what codes were set?
