Customer Question

I have a 1996 dodge 2500 Cummins with automatic. 2 week ago had a faint smell of burnt wiring. Now my trans slipped a couple times on a 100 mile run. Then on the most recent run around town the truck seemed to rumble / vibrate with the rpm of the engine. I don't know if the 2 are related or not. Fluid is clear red and full in trans.

  • Its possible the odor was from trans oil on the exhaust. Did you check for any sign of wetness on the trans?
