Have Transmission Questions? Ask a Mechanic for Answers ASAP
Do you have the chrysler transmission cartridges?
Yes, I'm 99% sure, I will be in front of my scan tool again shortly and I will double check. Assuming I do where do you plug in to ready the TCM?
There should be a blue connector for the transmission right around the fuse box under the dash.
Those are not the correct cartrides for transmission trouble shooting, but you may still be able to get some data. Are you with the car now?
I just ordered one for transmission on Ebay. Soon as I get it I will check back

Yes that is what you need. Do you have the chrys 2 connector as well? The part number for it is mt2500-31.
I received the cartridge in the mail today and ready to scan, which of the other cartridges goes with it to read the car? I really dont know much about this old scan tool, the newer obd2 ones are so much user friendly.
Remember I need step by step instructions on what to do.
Are you still helping me with this?
We are having trouble getting the scan tool to connect. Not sure if we are doing it correctly

Did you connect the chy 2 adapter to the blue plug next to the fusebox?
Yes. I get a no communication. I can communicate with the engine, but when i try the Trans this is what I get
With the ignition switch in the run position, see if you have 12 volts to the pink wire at the blue plug.
Also see if you have a ground to the black wire with a light green stripe.
