Customer Question

JUST GOT THE CAR 2001 SARURN SL100 WITH A 3.0 V-6. THE TRANSMISSION'S OIL WAS BURNED SO I CHANGED IT . It helped with the soft sifting but it only shifts' solidly when I let off the throttle.
JA: When was your last oil change?
Customer: last week
JA: Are you fixing your L100 yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: yes
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: i'm in search of the location of the transmission fluid pressure regulator. I think that mat be the culprit

You are looking for the EPC solenoid. It will be mounted on the valve body.There are two shift solenoids that are square, and the epc is round. The valve body will be on the drivers side of the transmission. You will have to just about remove the transmission to get the side cover off to get access to the epc and valve body.
