Hello, if the brake lights work and the shifter won't come out of park this is due to the shifter interlock. Does this vehicle have the center console shifter?

I was hoping they listed it separate as they do sometimes. It is part of the shifter assembly 7210. This is the component that needs to be repaired in order to fix your concern. You can make sure fuse 33 is in good shape. If the fuse is bad then you won't be able to remove the key out of the ignition either though. On the corner of the shifter there is a small block that can be removed so that you can manually shift it out of park
