Hello and welcome to JustAnswer!

If the transmission is actually slipping it is due to an internal issue. If it's only slipping in third then it's most likely a clutch issue, but it could possibly be a valve body or solenoid issue. If it was slipping in multiple gears then low or high fluid level could be a concern.

Do you know what fault codes are setting in the TCM?
