2007 Mercedes Benz CLS550 with 180,000 miles that has codes

Customer Question

2007 Mercedes Benz CLS550 with 180,000 miles that has codes P0717, P0730, P0128 and P0351. I haven't noticed anything wrong with the transmission or how it runs. What could this be. How do I check the trans. fluid level. Thank you

Hello, can i have your vin to make sure i have the correct transmission. also the p0128 is the thermostat

OK no worries :)

i guess i can say that if it is the 5 speed you need a special dipstick.

if it is the 7 speed you have to check it at a certain temp with the vehicle level and you pull the plug from the bottom of the trans pan. BUT it takes a specail tool to fill it . do you know how many speeds your trans is? it should be the 7 but i want to make sure.
