Customer Question

Hope I'm doing this right. 2006 GMC 200K, EGR delete. I have a battery light that will only go off if I pull the TBC Ign fuse. Started with Service brake system and limp mode. Lost Comms with TCM code was present. I tested TCM pin #9 and 69# ***** my multi meter buzzed. I changed Ign switch. I could hear a click-click from pan on Allison and a slight whine noise with key off. Bought new IMS switch and dropped pan. Have not removed VB but did connect new IMS switch. Noise went from click-click to just one click. Unplugged and cleaned wiring connector. Unplugged pressure manifold switch. Nothing changes. Truck starts but something is draining my battery. Both batteries are brand new red tops. Click was heard until the TCMB fuse was pulled. That made it stop. That was yesterday. Today click is only heard with the IGN 0 removed. When I pull the TCB Ign fuse the battery light goes off. Now I'm so confused. Plus I have a 21 year old that says "Get a 12valve like mine". Please if anybody has any idea please share

Hi there, I am Cam.
Can I get your first name please?
I am not sure if you have used our service before or not. The experts here are third party contractors. Myself, I am a GM technician in a Gm dealership. I will be happy to help you. Please understand that my only compensation for the time spent helping you is by your rating of my service in a positive way. The more information you provide, the better the chances of getting your issue resolved. Also please reply if you have any followup questions.
So about your vehicle,

What else is installed in your vehicle? Any remote starter?
Any other recent repairs that maybe started this?

AS for the TBC IGN, is that TBC IGN 0 or TBC IGN 1?

TBC stands for Truck Body Control, and those feed the Body Control Module (BCM), so the issue may not be the transmission, but rather the body control module keeping things awake.
