2002 Lincoln cont. Transmission is fine driving around town.

Customer Question

2002 Lincoln cont. Transmission is fine driving around town. It slips on takeoffs in 1st gear after driving on a highway for about 50 miles or so. Seems like when it heats up, it slips. Had the transmission fluid changed at local auto lube, fixed problem for about a month. Friend suggested to take it to dealership and have fluid and filter changed. can you help?
