I have a Ford F150 that just lost drive. I have both lower gears but as soon as I get up to speed the engine revs once in drive.

Hello, my name is***** and thanks for your question.

This is caused by a failure of the direct clutch. Usually the hub weld cracks causing a pressure loss to the clutch which results in loss of engagement when the transmission shifts to drive. The transmission will require overhaul or replacement to repair.
