Hello. Was the replacement transmission a known good transmission? Did you ever experience this transmission shift as it should?
Ok. And you personally verified this? I assume you have checked and the fluid level is correct?
Does it start out in first gear fine, but neglect to shift into second?
Is it the 5 speed or 4 speed transmission?
OK, and you added 6 quarts on top of what was already in the system?
unless you replaced the torque converter, that's about the total capacity for that transmission. With a drain and fill they are only calling for the addition of 3 quarts to start with, and checking it from there, but there is an overflow pipe, so.. I am going to opt out in case somebody else has a better idea and can guide you in the right direction.
if I were you, for piece of mind, I would perform a drain and fill with 3 quarts to make sure that you don't have too much fluid in the transmission. I will provide the instructions for that in just a minute. Also, Have you checked the computer for DTCs? If your transmission wont shift, there are probably codes stored.

Ok. P0327 is a knock sensor code. Loosen the knock sensor and torque it to 20Nm. That has been known to remedy that code in some instances.
P0730 is a generic transmission code indicating incorrect gear ratio. This code can be caused by low trans fluid, clogged filter, wiring issues, internal damage, etc, but is usually caused by internal damage. I would definitely follow the drain and fill procedure I provided earlier to make sure that isn't an issue.

How did it go? Did you correct the fluid level?
OK. I have a feeling that your transmission has an suffered internal failure. Does the transmission just stay stuck in first gear? Or does it seem like it goes into neutral?
so, it is going through all the gears, but it just delays between first and second?
