Hello and welcome to JustAnswer!
An autostick switch code can be caused by the shifter itself, wiring or a switch (depending on vehicle model) but an autostick issue shouldn't cause limp in since it isn't necessary for the trans to operate. If the solenoid pack has been replaced with one out of a working trans then the problem may be wiring, speed sensors, an internal TCM or trans issue.
P0700 sets in the engine controller when there is a code stored in the trans controller. Do you know what fault codes are setting in the TCM?
What model is the vehicle and which engine do you have?
