Cherokee: Need help, I want to change transmission oil by dropping

Customer Question

Need help, I want to change transmission oil by dropping pan and also flush torque converter. My 2004 jeep has about 140,000 some odd miles on it no slipping in transmissions. But I've been told dont flush torque converter cause it my not restart or I could run into problems later with transmission slipping. I dont wanna have old oil mix with new oil. What to do? New oil will be Amsoil Synthetic and I dont think the 2 quarts?? in the torque coverter is Synthetic. I dont think it would cause a problem if I didnt do a flush and just added new oil to transmission leaving torque converter as is, but I would still like to change both, what do you think?

Hi, My name is ***** ***** for the delay.I will do my best to assist you.i rebuild automatic transmissions,,you do not want to do a flush it could cause damage,,only remove the pan and filter,,install a new filter and fill with fluid,,never add an additive to the fluid...use only ATF-4 fluid, ift doesnt matter if your synthetic mixes with the other fluid.thanks PLEASE COPY AND PASTE the link below to your browser, I have uploaded more info on this there please copy and paste the link below to your main browser[INTERNET EXPLORER or FIREFOX] the link doesn’t work that way, try it this waythanks.
