My 2007 Ford F-150 4x4 is occastionly issing while cruising within the 40 mph range. It feels like the trans is missing/slipping. Have had 1 mechanic say its a tune-up issue costing approx $400.00. Is this common?

yes, it is common for worn plugs or coils to cause engine miss fires and giving that feeling. I would start with at least a set of plugs???
