f250 super duty: 1999 f250 super duty V-10 standard transmission

This answer was rated:

1999 f250 super duty V-10 standard transmission , it started not working at 25 MPH and less and has been getting worse as time goes on. Now it does not register unless the vehicle is moving faster than 65 MPH. Where do I start?

Hello, I'm Chris. Welcome and thanks for asking your question!

What started not working, the speedometer?

Customer: replied 3 years ago.

Yes, the speedometer

The first thing to do is a new VSS sensor, if the same concern occurs then a new instrument cluster is needed. The vehicle speed sensor is mounted in the top center of the rear axle. This is a very common failing sensor.
