I received a letter saying that my car was clocked speeding

This answer was rated:

I received a letter saying that my car was clocked speeding with a traffic camera. I was not the driver. A young man was test driving my car when this happened. what can I do?

Thelawman2 :

These letters are not actually citations or tickets, but are similar to a debt collection agency looking to recover money because these cameras are run by third party companies. They are simply using whatever means possible to collect the money; however, the worst thing that can happen is that they try to bring a lawsuit against you to eventually recover a judgment. But at that time, you can make the argument that you were not driving the car.
