What is your question
Customer reply replied 25 days ago
Can I be refunded my $15 this is not working
Toyota Mechanic: Peter Bagley, Auto Service Technician replied 25 days ago

This is not working because your not answering my questions so I can get a picture of what's happening. You can either work with me for a small fee compared to what you will be charged at a shop or you can go to a shop for a few hundred dollars latter. Good luck.

No its not you. You said you have a question before we proceed tge the next thing I see is tge aoo asking if I want to pay 26 more dollars. It appeared this was your question
Customer reply replied 25 days ago
It acks like fuel in water. Engine runs perfectly smooth. Just out of the blue cut off. Does this driving or just sitting still. Wait a while and will start up and runs fine. Im wondering about someting in fuel delivery. Is it possible the fuel relay is mulfuction after some use or is the intank assembly have a issue. to go along with this theory the fuel gage does sometimes not work espectially after filling the tank to full.
When starting from cold like over night, then it run much longer before this begins to happen. So temperture does appear to be relative to the faulty item

Customer reply replied 24 days ago

Toyota Mechanic: david craig, Auto Mechanic replied 24 days ago

Customer reply replied 24 days ago
Got it. I relayed this to Auto shop.
Customer reply replied 24 days ago
Ok the crank sensor was bad. Now ut start but only low RPM and when trying drive it it still cuts off. Mechanic said it has coil codes. Nit the pugs coils I dont think I replaced those not long ago. He mentioned not reving might be clogged exaust cat and/or maybe even engine computor . Wow now what..
Toyota Mechanic: david craig, Auto Mechanic replied 24 days ago

what codes did he say it had?

Ask Your Own Toyota Question
Customer reply replied 22 days ago
They did this. Test is goid. They are still working. Not finish as of now. So wait Monday.
About 20000 miles ago I replace everything from front of engine block forward including radiator. They thing the one side is maybe one tooth off. This maybe possible because the new belt marks did not appear correct to me . But even so. It run like purring smooth cat. And a scared rabbit with power. I was a happy camper... I dont understand how this could cause and engine to abrubly cut of like water in fuel or electric short or crank sensor. By the way they did replace the crank sensor which was bad but still cut off when test drive. And they did a fuel presure test also
Toyota Mechanic: david craig, Auto Mechanic replied 22 days ago

ok, let me know monday when they finish testing. thanks for the update

hows it going?

Ask Your Own Toyota Question
Customer reply replied 19 days ago
they put the timing belt in proper timing. I had the passenger side cam off two teeth. Haha. Ran good for 20,000. So its running good now with no errors. I can easily understand the crank sensor was bad. But hard for my simple thinking how incorrect timing will cause a dead cut off. Like a loose wire or like the a crank sensor. What say you?
Toyota Mechanic: david craig, Auto Mechanic replied 19 days ago

2 teeth is a lot. and can cause all kinds of issues. absolutely can cause the engine a cut off. crank and cam sensors are looking at each other and if its off you can either lose spark or fuel

Ask Your Own Toyota Question
Customer reply replied 19 days ago
Well thats it then. Are you surprised it run so long with no issues?
Toyota Mechanic: david craig, Auto Mechanic replied 19 days ago

Im wondering if it worked its way from no teeth to 2 teeth

Ask Your Own Toyota Question
Customer reply replied 19 days ago
How can it do that? I replaced everything. New tensioner the works
Customer reply replied 19 days ago
Im not surprised I was off one but yeah I agree two is a lot and would be obvious
Customer reply replied 19 days ago
I learned Toyota is easy to work on. Can get to most everything quit easy
