I am leaning towards bad ecm. The initial problem was blon head gasket between 3 and 4. Head was machined and pressure tested with new valves installed. These faults did not appear until after reassembly
Customer reply replied 4 months ago
They will not clear from the ecu
Toyota Mechanic: Chad Farhat, ASE Certified Technician A6 - Electrical / Electronic systems A7 Heating / Air conditioning systems replied 4 months ago

Toyota Mechanic: Chad Farhat, ASE Certified Technician A6 - Electrical / Electronic systems A7 Heating / Air conditioning systems replied 4 months ago

Have you checked ckp sensor for timing signal

do you have fuel injector pulsing ?

Ask Your Own Toyota Question
Customer reply replied 4 months ago
Crank sensor is good
Customer reply replied 4 months ago
How do we check injector pulse?
Toyota Mechanic: Chad Farhat, ASE Certified Technician A6 - Electrical / Electronic systems A7 Heating / Air conditioning systems replied 4 months ago

if you have a power probe II, you can probe the ground wire on injector coming from ecm ,since it can ground if not ,you use a fuel injector Noid test kit ,pull injector connector off ,and insert tool, they sell at local parts store ,like $30 kit to check injector pulse

Just checked w probe no signal
Toyota Mechanic: Chad Farhat, ASE Certified Technician A6 - Electrical / Electronic systems A7 Heating / Air conditioning systems replied 4 months ago

well, no signal on injector and no spark, that is leaning towards ecm ,

i doubt we have bad ckp AND ALL INJECTORS BAD , GRANTED WIRING AND PINS ON CONNECTOR ARE GOOD IT WILL BE ECM

That’s what I’m thinking. All fuses are good. Grounds look good. Is there anything I’m missing before I order this computer? Any hidden wires?
Toyota Mechanic: Chad Farhat, ASE Certified Technician A6 - Electrical / Electronic systems A7 Heating / Air conditioning systems replied 4 months ago

Not that I think off, I would wiggle the harness on ecm , make sure all good , unplug it and look at pins, looks good then replace ecm ,
