I have not experienced this myself but I feel i may be able to help you, if Not i will surely open the question back up for others to assist, so let me start by asking, does the engine crank ?

does anything register when trying to crank?

Ask Your Own Toyota Question
Customer reply replied 7 months ago
It is a hybrid so it doesn’t crank. I put foot on brake and press push button start. Key is detected, but never goes into ready mode
Toyota Mechanic: Lou P, ASE Certified Technician replied 7 months ago

oh ok so full hybrid, not half gas half electric motor.

a lot of the times i deal with issues similar, a pin got bent on the connections or a fuse blew from voltage spikes from disconnecting and reconnecting. have you rechecked the connections?

Ask Your Own Toyota Question
Toyota Mechanic: Lou P, ASE Certified Technician replied 7 months ago

I did send that over as an answer but it does not mean we are done so of course continue if need be.

Ask Your Own Toyota Question
Customer reply replied 7 months ago
It is hybrid, so gas and electric.Usually starts in electric and stars engine when needed. In this case it never goes into ready mode.
Toyota Mechanic: Lou P, ASE Certified Technician replied 7 months ago

ok, I will go ahead and reopen this, sorry sir, i wanted to help but i also dont want to waste your time with my questions, have a good night, someone will come along, not sure how long but you will get a notification when someone picks this up

best of luck

Lou

Ask Your Own Toyota Question
Customer reply replied 7 months ago

Hello, and thanks for using JustAnswer, my name is ***** ***** I have been an Automotive Technician for over 15 years, and currently working at a Toyota Dealership.

Are you able to use the remote starter to get the ready light to turn on? Also have you tried to remove the remote starter to see if the car will go into "ready" mode?

Ask Your Own Toyota Question
Customer reply replied 7 months ago
No, and at this point I have removed everything with the remote start and still have same issue
Customer reply replied 7 months ago
I had it working with both the remote start and normally before I started securing all the wires... to prevent rattles
Customer reply replied 7 months ago
Then once I had everything secure, it wouldn’t start
Customer reply replied 7 months ago
Do you think the AM1 fuse would cause this?
Toyota Mechanic: nelson freitas,
 replied 7 months ago
Did this fuse blow?
Ask Your Own Toyota Question
Customer reply replied 7 months ago
I have not checked it yet
Customer reply replied 7 months ago
I wasn’t going to check all the fuses unless one would coule this issue
Customer reply replied 7 months ago
I just checked it and it is fine
Customer reply replied 7 months ago
Any thoughts
Toyota Mechanic: nelson freitas,
 replied 7 months ago

I feel like you may have pulled a pin out of a connector while you were securing all of the wires, I would suggest double checking the wires and connectors that you used to check if any on the pins might be loose
