Sluggish starting , but when it runs, dies instantly...only way to drive it was keeping foot on brake and gas...

Mechanic's Assistant: Has the vehicle turned into a gas hog? And how does it start -- same as usual?

Not sure about the gas....car is mostly driven by teens....But we have had below zero temps... usually single digits for last week... just started acting up today....drove perfect this a.m.

I'm not that competent...a friend thinks it might be electrnic choke, but can't find the part or a diagram anywhere on line.

Mechanic's Assistant: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?

Has 145k miles...usually runs like a top.

Vehicle has a electronic throttle body but not a electronic choke although they are somewhat similar in function. Is the check engine light on?

I was told I would get some advice for $5....and now it wants to charge me monthly or 25$ for a phone call

$5 is just the deposit but I think you are setup to pay around $22 for a single answer. I'm not sure why they advertise the $5 so hard when that is only a deposit. Would you like to continue or should I have refund issued? Sorry about that, it isn't me who makes those decisions.
