Hello I will help,

Sounds like the clutch bearing has failed. This will need the whole compressor assembly replaced to sol;ve it as inexpensively as possible.

Please let me know how I can help

Thanks

any idea how much that can cost, and is a rebuilt compressor feasible?
Customer reply replied 8 months ago
I don't plan to do it myself, don't have the tools.
Toyota Mechanic: George H., ASE Certified Technician replied 8 months ago

Not a rebuilt but a new compressor kit is about $200 and it takes 2.7 hours to replace so about $5 - $600 total in a shop. This is not Toyota but a good quality replacement.

Please let me know if you have further questions, if nothing further please complete the rating

Thanks
